About Tideaway Studio
I run Tideaway as a one‑person creative studio, drawing inspiration from the Welsh coastline, wildlife, and the landscapes I grew up around. Every poster and card is designed, crafted, and finished by hand, with a focus on clean geometry, natural colour, and the quiet beauty found in nature. What you see here is the result of careful work, curiosity, and a genuine love for the outdoors, brought together in artwork made to feel warm, modern, and meaningful.
About Tideaway Studio
Tideaway is the result of a creative journey that unfolded gradually over a few important years. It began during the Covid period, when the world slowed down and I launched ed‑lewis.co.uk as a small personal space to experiment with design, learn new skills, and share artwork. It was an honest project; a way to stay creative and grounded when everything felt uncertain. Even then, the feeling behind Tideaway was quietly forming: a pull toward calm, clarity, and the steady rhythm of making things by hand.
As time moved on, my style evolved. I became increasingly drawn to geometric forms, clean lines, and the wildlife and landscapes around me here in Wales. That led to geo‑art.co.uk in 2024, a dedicated home for modern geometric animal artwork.
The two sites ran side by side: one for exploration, one for refinement. Together, they shaped the visual language I use today — a blend of nature, structure, and simplicity.
Tideaway brings everything together under one identity. It’s where the ideas could finally settle; the experiments, the refinement, the designs that kept returning like a tide. Posters and greeting cards now sit at the heart of the brand, featuring animals and locations from all over the world as well as the landscapes and wildlife closer to home. Every piece is designed using Abode Illustrator and printed professionally, inspired by coastlines, forests, and the natural patterns found in everyday moments.
The name Tideaway reflects the quiet spaces that inspire the work; the pause between waves, the stillness of a shoreline, the moments where patterns reveal themselves. This is a one‑person studio, but it carries the character of Wales throughout it: the textures of the shore, the quiet of the woods, and the calm geometry found in nature.
Tideaway Studio is about turning those moments into artwork that feels warm, thoughtful, and made to last.
Beautiful quality and even better in person.
The print feels premium and the colours are spot on.
